Auto-care tips from Q-Tire
Even when your car is not in use, tire rubber still ages. For every 40,000 KMs, tires need to be checked. It is highly recommended that you get your tires checked, even if the tread is hardly worn.
The following parameters may be useful before buying tires for your car:
- Invest in tires that are built for their intended usage.
- Tires designed for highways or cities, are different from those designed for off-roading, in that they provide a much smoother driving experience.
- In case of a puncture, tubeless tires allow for better control of the vehicle by decreasing sudden loss of air pressure.
Wheel Alignment
If your tires are wearing unevenly, and/or your ride is feeling bumpy or loud, that is usually an indicator that your tires may be out of alignment. Wheels may get out of alignment due to regular hitting of curbs or driving over pot holes and bumps. Your wheels will begin to point in or out instead of straight ahead. A slight shift in alignment can lead to wearing out your tires, depending on the level of your car’s wheel misalignment.

Nitrogen is an inert gas (property-free, non-reactive substance). The regular air we have been using to inflate automotive tires for the past 150 years is 79.1% nitrogen and 20% oxygen.
Oxygen is destructive as it leads to Oxidation, also known as rust, rot and corrosion. Such elements cause exponential harm to your tires and wheels, which are composed of rubber and steel.
